Free Caregiving Workshops
Navigating the Caregiving Journey
It usually starts small – perhaps running a few errands or preparing some hot meals. Maybe you don’t even see yourself as a caregiver yet. Or sometimes the changes can be more dramatic and sudden. But as your loved ones age, they will probably need more help. And perhaps you will too. It can be a struggle to maintain independence, know what resources are available to help, and how to navigate the system.
If you currently provide care for an aging loved one, expect to do so in the next few years, or are concerned about your future, join AARP Oregon for one of these FREE workshops in Eugene, Medford, or Portland Metro. Come hear from two Oregon caregiving experts—Ruth Cohen (Caregiving Conversations with Significant Others) and Dr. Vicki Schmall (Packing your Caregiving Basket)—and learn about resources from our community partners, the Alzheimer’s Association and the local area agency on aging. You can shape the best future for you and your loved ones.
