Flavors of San Jose: Meet Local Chefs and Learn New Recipes!

Join us virtually for the Flavors of San Jose series created by Veggielution. Our host Trami Cron, the founder of Chopsticks Alley and author of VitenamEazy, will talk with local chefs about their food journey in San Jose, California! During this series, you’ll also learn a family recipe from our chefs that you can make right at home, and how food has the power to keep family history and stories alive.

Episode 1 – October 24th
Meet couple Duy An and Hieu Le and learn how their pop-up restaurant Hết Sảy began and why they believe it is important to tell stories through their food.


Episode 2 – November 21st
Meet Rod Reyes, Chef and Co-Owner of Barya Kitchen located in San Jose. Barya Kitchen is described as a Filipino pop-up started by a group of friends who share the same passion for modern-style Filipino cuisine in the Bay Area. Episode 3 – December 12th
Meet Bertha Aguinaga, one of the amazing leaders in Veggielution Eastside Grown as she shares a bit about Peruvian cooking and teaches you how to make a flavorful soup recipe from the comfort of your own home.

Episode 4 – December 21st
Meet Sammie Ngar, owner of Famous Lao Papaya Restaurant and learn a few traditional Laotian recipes!
