Posted on 11/30/22 by The AARP Bulletin

AARP Georgia is teaming up with some of the state’s most popular athletes to promote AARP’s Fraud Watch Network.

AARP worked with four members of the national championship University of Georgia football team for a public service announcement on fraud. Quarterback Stetson Bennett—one of the most recognizable sports figures in the Peach State—joined teammates Sedrick Van Pran and Tate Ratledge (both offensive linemen) and tight end Ryland Goede for the PSA.

Georgia ranked first nationally in fraud and other reports per capita in 2021, according to the Federal Trade Commission, with 150,898 reports and a total of $113 million in fraud losses.
