Evansville volunteers support affordable housing efforts, offer sweepstakes
AARP Indiana’s Evansville volunteer team is coming out in full force for Aurora Inc.’s Trivia Tonight event April 19.
Aurora is a nonprofit organization dedicated to serving the homeless and near homeless in the greater Evansville area. The organization creates solutions that strive to end homelessness in the community, as well as prevent it.
AARP Indiana works alongside Aurora on the Housing Organizations United Serving Evansville coalition to champion affordable, accessible, and safe housing options for all.
As a “Genius Sponsor” at Trivia Tonight, AARP Indiana is hosting a table sharing information on the AARP HomeFit program, which offers a menu of DIY and professional fixes to help make one’s residence their lifelong home.
AARP Evansville volunteers will also participate in the trivia fun as “AARP Braintrust,” their chosen team name.
“Team Evansville is really getting into the spirit of the event,” Addison Pollock, director of outreach, said. “We’re glad to support a great cause.”
