At AARP, we are about helping our neighbors and educating our community. For the second year in a row, AARP and the Houston Astros are teaming up to build a more resilient community by educating fans about fraud prevention while also having fun.
Criminals are getting more sophisticated and supercharging old scams with new technology like AI, using it on various scams, from fake sweepstakes to exploiting sporting events. Still, fans can beat scammers at their own game. AARP volunteers will educate people about the top scams of 2024 and provide identity theft tips and resources at various Astros events.
Join AARP at the Astros Opening Day Street Fest at Minute Maid Park on March 28th from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. Fans will enjoy live music, games, and giveaways, including ours, so be sure to stop by our booth!
