Lecciones de pintura que celebran al pueblo de México. Eventos “culinarios” que enseñan a cocinar con los vibrantes sabores de Costa Rica, El Salvador, Perú y otros países latinoamericanos. Las clases de Tai Chi durante nuestro evento “miercoles de movimiento” seguramente pondrán su cuerpo y mente en forma, aprenderán sobre la historia del maíz y más es lo que verá durante nuestros eventos virtuales del Mes de la Herencia Hispana de Texas de AARP.

Los eventos educativos, divertidos y emocionantes sirven para reconocer la rica cultura y herencia, así como las valiosas contribuciones de las comunidades hispanas y latinas en todo el país y más allá. Y en un estado como Texas, donde casi el 40 por ciento de la población es de origen hispano, estas conmemoraciones significan mucho.

San Antonio.

The following events are organized in conjunction with partner organizations in San Antonio.

Mexican Folklorico dance classes where you’ll learn footwork techniques and combinations. Salsa classes that improve balance and mental alertness. A virtual festival featuring the talents of Tejano and Conjunto artists. All this and more make up AARP Texas’ free events for San Antonio as we kick off Hispanic Heritage Month on Sept. 15.

AARP Texas has partnered with the Guadalupe Cultural Arts Center to celebrate this special month with a series of month-long online classes taught by experienced traditional dance and music instructors.
