Enjoy Food, Crafts, and Music with Us at the Weequahic Music Festival!

The Weequahic Park Music Festival is a one-day community event featuring live performances from local bands and musicians across a variety of genres, such as Chantay Savage-American R&B and dance singer-songwriter, Jellybean Benitez (DJ), Curtis McClain-American singer-songwriter and vocalist, Steve "Silk" Hurley-A Grammy-nominated DJ, and Lenny Fontana-New York-based DJ and producer.. It will take place on Saturday, September 6, 2025, beginning at 9:00 AM at the intersection of Elizabeth Avenue and Meeker Avenue in Newark, NJ.

In addition to live music, attendees can enjoy local food vendors, art and craft stalls, and open space for gathering with family and friends. AARP will be on-site offering a free photo booth to capture the moment, and the first 150 people to stop by the AARP table will receive a complimentary cooling towel. Registration is required to participate in the AARP activation. The event is open to all ages and offers a full day of entertainment and community engagement.

As part of AARP’s presence at the 2025 Weequahic Park Music Festival, a sweepstakes will be conducted to randomly select five individuals to receive a backstage VIP pass. Each pass grants the winner access to meet select performing artists at the festival. Eligible individuals can enter either online or in person at the AARP booth between 9:00 AM and 2:00 PM on September 6, 2025. Winners do not need to be present at the time of the drawing to be selected.
