Enjoy a Concert by U.S. Army Field Band
Enjoy a free concert by a world-touring band while honoring the nation’s veterans at 6 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 3, at Miller Outdoor Theatre in Houston’s Hermann Park.
The elite musicians and singers of the Concert Band and Soldiers’ Chorus of the U.S. Army Field Band will provide an early Veterans Day concert telling the story of the Army and its soldiers.
The Field Band travels the globe entertaining civilian crowds as well as troops. Its largest performing group, the 57-member Concert Band, will be complemented in Houston by the 22-singer Soldiers’ Chorus.
While supplies last, AARP in Houston will hand out picnic blankets to concertgoers who opt to sit on the grass.
“Sponsoring events like this one is something AARP loves to do,” said Juanita Jiménez-Soto of AARP Texas. “We relish any opportunity to salute our veterans.”
AARP representatives will be available to answer questions about membership benefits, the organization’s actions to make Houston a city everyone can appreciate and ways to volunteer.
Tickets for covered seating are available starting at 10:30 a.m. the day of the show, with a limit of four per person. Seating on the grass is open.
