AARP Nebraska is pleased to announce Senator Eliot Bostar of Lincoln (District 29) as the recipient of its Community Fraud Fighter Award. This prestigious AARP award represents a select, bipartisan group of elected officials, law enforcement, and other partners across the country who have made significant efforts to prevent fraud.

By building trust and forging deep emotional connections, scammers can manipulate their victims into making financial decisions they would not normally consider.
With temperatures dropping in many states, scammers are turning up the heat on their deceptive tactics.
AARP Nebraska is pleased to announce Omaha City Council Member Aimee Melton as the recipient of its Community Fraud Fighter Award. This prestigious AARP award represents a select, bi-partisan group of elected officials, law enforcement, and other partners across the country who have made significant efforts to prevent fraud.
It’s open enrollment season, which also means it’s Medicare fraud season. Eligible beneficiaries have from October 15–December 7, 2024, to shop around and make changes to their Medicare health and Part D prescription drug plans. Unfortunately, some deals offered won’t be deals at all.
Trained peer facilitators conduct hour-long small group online sessions. You can join by computer, tablet, or smartphone. Discussions are confidential.
