Dallas caregivers symposium in November

Posted on 10/13/23

Every day, family caregivers assist their older parents, spouses, siblings, grandparents, and other loved ones so they can live independently in their homes—where they want to be.

Caregivers help with everything, including medications and medical care, meals, bathing and dressing, chores, finances, grocery shopping, transportation, and more. Many family caregivers work full or part-time, and some also care for children. The reality is that family caregivers are stressed and often overwhelmed, balancing the physical, emotional, financial, and time-consuming demands required to care for their older loved one.

To help caregivers meet these immense challenges, AARP is co-hosting the Hopeful Alzheimer’s & Caregivers’ Symposium on November 18, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Caregivers are encouraged to attend and connect with experts, share experiences, and find solace in a community that understands. The event is free, but registration is required.
