Cuida tu dinero: Financial Series Aimed at Latino Market

Posted on 06/30/22 by The AARP Bulletin

As the pandemic’s economic upheaval continues to reverberate, AARP California is presenting a series of free one-hour presentations, geared to the Latino community, to help people build financial resilience.

“Let’s Talk Dinero” will explore asset protection, debt management, entrepreneurship, home-ownership scams, caregiving expenses and retirement planning through CalSavers.

Sessions are on Zoom the third Monday of each month; register at aarp.org/LetsTalkDinero, where you can view previous sessions, too. You can also watch presentations live at facebook.com/aarpcalifornia.

Hispanics clearly felt COVID’s financial toll. In a 2021 Kaiser Family Foundation study, 59 percent said someone in their household lost a job, was furloughed or had hours cut, compared with 39 percent of white respondents.
