COVID-19 Update: A Conversation with Maine Leaders

Posted on 04/09/20

AARP Maine hosted a two-part series of tele-town halls on COVID-19 with US Senators and Maine Leaders on March 30 and April 13, 2020. Both discussions focused on the latest on the coronavirus in Maine, and how Mainers can stay informed and stay healthy. You can listen to both tele-town halls here.

For the first part of our series, we were joined by Governor Janet Mills, US Senator Angus King, Maine Department of Labor Commissioner Laura Fortman, and Maine Department of Health and Human Services Commissioner Jeanne Lambrew.

For the second town hall in the series, we were joined by US Senator Susan Collins and Dr. James Jarvis, physician, Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center.

You can listen to both tele-town halls here.

In an effort to provide the latest news and updates on COVID-19, AARP Maine keeps an updated feature on our website with the latest news on COVID-19, and resources on matters such as unemployment benefits, Social Security, the US Census, stimulus checks and more. The site also includes a handy list of grocery stores and places where Mainers can buy food that offer curbside pick-up, shopping hours for older adults and other services. Thanks to our volunteers, this list is kept as up to date as possible, but please send an email to me@aarp.org if you would like to provide any updates for your local area. Feel free to share the list!
