Cooking with Houston's own Chef Yunan Yang
Explore your culinary-prep talents by signing up for a free cooking class brought to you by AARP in Houston. Yunan Yang, chef, and co-founder of Houston’s beloved Pepper Twins restaurants will lead participants through the process of making her famous Cold Chicken Noodles. To create this delicious dish, Chef Yang uses premium noodles and chicken prepared with a unique mixture of Chinese herbs. She then tops it with her special sauce. While peppers are not part of this dish, Chef Yang says these spices add much more than heat to dishes.
The event with Chef Yang will be held Friday, October 5, 11 a.m. to noon at Asia Society Texas Center 1370 Southmore Blvd. You can RSVP online at aarp.cvent.com/TX-10-05-Chef or by calling 1-877-926-8300.
About Chef Yang: Before becoming a chef and restaurateur, Yang was a successful doctor and cancer medical researcher. In 2015 she decided to take a break from medicine to indulge her passion of country-style and organic Chinese food. The first Pepper Twins restaurant, which serves authentic Sichuanese dishes, was an instant hit. There are currently four Pepper Twins restaurants in the Houston area.
