As part of its 60th Anniversary celebration, AARP is installing very special fitness parks in each of the 50 states as well as where we have offices in the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.

The equipment for the parks is adapted to meet a wide range of fitness levels. The Newport installation will be located in Aquidneck Park, adjacent to the Edward King House.
AARP Fitness Parks are designed for durability and community fitness uses for all ages and ability levels. The layout is about 40 feet in diameter (about 1,400 square feet), shaded, safety surfaced and includes static and movable fitness equipment for strength, cardio, balance and flexibility training.
