Comedic Caregiver? It’s a thing…
What does a family caregiver look like? Is it a woman, a man, a millennial, or someone 50 and older? Do they work, are they retired or are they, students? Truth is, a family caregiver is all of the above. These individuals give of there time and money daily. Most do not even know they are caregivers. Today, nearly 40 percent of Hispanic family caregivers are millennials just like rising comedian Jesus Trejo.
Trejo’s caregiving journey is the focus of a new documentary titled Care to Laugh. AARP will share it with you in a special Facebook Watch Party on May 1. Care to Laugh is a real-life look at how Trejo is balancing the pursuit of his dream while caring for his aging parents. This struggle is real for the 43.5 million caregivers who are 18 and over in the U.S. today.
Join us for this free eye-opening event and chat live with Trejo throughout the screening. He’ll answer questions about his caregiving journey while connecting with you.
