Grab your kilt and let’s celebrate National Tartan Day!
What is National Tartan Day, you ask? The United States observes National Tartan Day each year on April 6. It commemorates the Scottish Declaration of Independence, from which the American Declaration of Independence was modelled. Almost half of the American Declaration of Independence signers were of Scottish descent.
Want to learn more? Join us on Tuesday, April 6 for a free virtual Coffee & Conversation with NHSCOT. Come learn how National Tartan Day is celebrated in the U.S., what a tartan is exactly and some of the pattern variations and more!
