AARP’s unwavering commitment to the Black community reflects its core belief in the dignity, worth, and potential of every individual. AARP rejects discrimination based on a person’s age, race, gender, ethnicity, sexual orientation, or gender identity – we see diversity not as a reason for division, but as a source of strength.

For AARP, Black communities are a vital part of the quilt of American life. The Black Heritage Trail of NH promotes awareness and appreciation of African American history in the Granite State to help build more inclusive communities today. Located in Portsmouth, the Trail uses guided tours, public programs, educational resources, and teacher workshops to increase awareness of African American history.

Grab a cup of coffee and join us on Tuesday, August 3 at 9 am for a free virtual Coffee and Conversation about the Black Heritage Trail of NH, to learn more about this informative resource within the Granite State.
