AARP Michigan is part of the Michigan Dementia Coalition, which is developing a three-year plan for making the state more responsive to the needs of those with dementia. The coalition will publish its recommendations at the end of 2018 and share them with the new governor and lawmakers in early 2019.

Other partners in the effort include the Michigan chapters of the Alzheimer’s Association, regional area agencies on aging, the Michigan Assisted Living Association, and researchers from Michigan State University, the University of Michigan and Wayne State University.

For more information on the coalition, contact Lisa Dedden Cooper at lcooper@aarp.org.
