Join instructor and AARP volunteer Cathy Arnault for 60 minutes of movement and relaxation in the comfort of your living room, or your backyard if the weather’s nice.

You’ll need a device (computer, tablet or smartphone), a mat, a small blanket and some water. Yoga blocks and a strap or band are helpful for modifying the routine but not required.

The free classes are among AARP New Hampshire’s most popular virtual offerings and are part of its commitment to helping people 50 and older stay healthy, says Pam Dube, its communications director.

Arnault, 59, of Nottingham, starts each Zoom session with meditative breathing and takes participants through a series of seated and hands-and-knees warm-ups before moving to standing postures. She focuses on the six movements of the spine as well as gentle joint rotation and stretching and strengthening. Do what feels right for your body.

Classes are at 6 p.m. on the following Wednesdays: June 29, July 20, Aug. 17 and Sept. 21. Go to aarp.org/nh and click on Events to register. —Natalie Missakian
