Cheer On Dynamo Soccer; Compete for Fantasy Camp
Avid soccer fans could win a chance to learn from professional players and coaches as part of AARP’s new sponsorship of the city’s Major League Soccer team, the Houston Dynamo.
At sponsored Dynamo games this season, AARP in Houston will have a table featuring activities, prizes and information about its work in the community.
“AARP is showing up in fun and surprising ways to celebrate the sport that unites us,” said Juanita Jiménez-Soto, AARP associate state director of communications in Houston. “We want people to think a bit differently about AARP.”
Sponsored games are against Los Angeles FC, on Friday, July 12; the Chicago Fire, on Saturday, Aug. 3; and Minnesota United FC, on Wednesday, Sept. 11. All are at BBVA Compass Stadium, 2200 Texas Ave.
AARP members and other fans may purchase discount tickets.
Soccer unites friends, families and generations, and so does AARP, Jiménez-Soto added.
Entries and nominations for the Dynamo Fantasy Camp will be accepted through July 14.
