AARP in Houston, joined by other organizations, will host a series of video events throughout Women’s History Month, in March, that seek to explore themes relevant to them.

The topics can benefit viewers of all ages, and the videos can be found at AARP in Houston’s website. Among the subjects covered are finances, cooking and art.

Get a handle on your personal and family finances, including how to prepare for retirement, in a session led by the Latin Women’s Initiative. The online session will focus on women and their finances, including the unique challenges they face after a divorce. It is scheduled for Thursday, March 24.

Other sessions scheduled during the month include cookbook authors Bea Moore and Vernita Harris, who will share healthy recipes and talk about women as chefs (Sunday, March 13), and a discussion of female artists led by the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston (Thursday, March 17).

Those unable to catch the events on the day of the broadcast can watch them anytime afterward at youtube.com/aarptexas. A list of sessions and information on other events can be found at aarp.org/houston or by contacting houston@aarp.org.
