Highlighting Saint Paul

Celebrating National Volunteer Month

Posted on 04/14/21

When AARP makes a difference in the community, the result can be credited to the passion and dedication of our volunteers. AARP Minnesota has more than 1,200 volunteers from across the state. Our volunteers work towards turning goals and dreams into real possibilities, strengthening communities, and fighting for the issues that matter most to families such as healthcare, livable communities, caregiving, employment security, and financial resiliency.

Throughout the pandemic, we have seen volunteers step up in tremendous ways, some who may not even consider themselves a volunteer. It has truly been a time of neighbors helping neighbors. Volunteers tackle society’s challenges, build stronger communities, and are a transformational force. We proudly shine a light on all volunteers for inspiring us and lending their time and voices to make a difference across Minnesota.

Get Involved
Age and retirement are not criteria for being a volunteer! Volunteering is about sharing life experiences, skills, and passions in the community, which can come at any age. If you're looking for ways to get involved as a volunteer with AARP MN, explore our volunteer opportunities today or contact Meghan Redmond at mredmond@aarp.org.
