Join AARP staff and volunteers as we celebrate Philadelphia's diversity and community at ODUNDE and Pride festivals on Sunday, June 9.

At both ODUNDE and Pride festivals, AARP Pennsylvania will have a prize wheel at the AARP booth, and will provide information and resources on important issues impacting the 50+. We'll also be hosting listening sessions to learn from Pennsylvanians about how to make our communities more livable as it relates to housing, transportation, and parks/open spaces. This information will be collected and shared with local leaders to make our communities more livable and inclusive.

ODUNDE Festival is the nation’s largest African American street festival, with over 500,000 attendees visiting the 12-block corridor in South Philadelphia. ODUNDE activities include a parade, live entertainment, dancing, music performances, food, and an “African marketplace featuring vendors from around the  world selling merchandise  from many African nations, the Caribbean and Brazil.”

The Philly Pride festival opens with a parade that ends at Penn’s Landing, where the festival is set to take place. Event goers can enjoy the festivities with food, music, and a celebration of love and community.
