Celebrate the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater’s 60th Anniversary with AARP NY!
Join AARP NY at Lincoln Center from June 12 – 16 and learn about what we are doing in the community when you experience the New York shows of Ailey American Dance Theater’s 60 th Anniversary tour! Alvin Ailey is renowned for celebrating the human spirit through the African-American cultural experience and the American modern dance heritage.
A reception will be held on Wednesday June 12, 2019 from 6:00-7:30pm in the Travelers Lounge at the David H. Koch Theater at Lincoln Center where the Ailey Artistic Director, Robert Battle, will tell us about the performance and AARP’s support. Immediately following the performance, AARP members and guests have an optional backstage tour to meet a couple Ailey dancers and hear about their lives with the Company where you can ask questions and take photos.
