Enjoy an evening of hot Latino sounds with two of L.A.’s innovative bands. Fusing ‘60’s surf-rock guitar riffs with Afro-Latin rhythms, La Chamba pays homage to Peruvian chichi music, a distinctive style of cumbia with traces of Andean huayano and American rock. La Junta, a group of L.A. based deejays; take music lovers on a tropical sojourn to Brazil, Colombia, Peru, Africa, Cuba, Puerto Rico, Mexico, India, and back to the underground clubs of our own American cities. LATINAFest 2019: Mind, Body & Soul | Sunday, August, 25^th |12:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. | LA Plaza de Cultura y Artes | 501 N. Main St. Los Angeles, CA 90012LATINAFest: Mind, Body and Soul will be a day to celebrate Latinas who are rapidly becoming an economic and social powerhouse in the United States.
Festivities will include a live taping of TheTRENDTalk show, live performances, speakers, and a chance to meet businesses catering to Latinas.
This is an all-inclusive family event for bilingual/bicultural, and Spanish speaking Latinas from all socio-economic groups, from Gen Z to Baby Boomers. All with one thing in common -- our Latinidad.

Dr. Gloria Arjona, a performer born in El Paso and raised in Mexico City, crosses over various languages, disciplines, and music styles to carry on an educational mission that aims to educate and entertain. Join her lively introduction to one of Mexico’s most popular board games, Lotería, which originated in medieval Italy.
