Caregivers Class: Learn about Home Modifications

Posted on 02/29/24 by The AARP Bulletin

More than three-quarters of older adults want to remain in their homes as they age, according to AARP research. But many homes are not well designed for people with mobility problems and other difficulties that come with aging—whether that’s climbing a set of stairs or getting in and out of the shower safely.

AARP Virginia is hosting a seminar to help caregivers learn how to outfit their homes and address their loved one’s physical challenges. The event will be held in person and online from noon to 1 p.m. on Tuesday, March 19. Caregivers may attend in person at My Dr’s Pharmacy, 492 Elden St., Herndon, or on Zoom.
