Care for Caregivers 2025 - Find Resources and Community
AARP Caregiver Virtual Resources
Caregiving can be a challenging journey, whether you are new to it or have been providing care for years. Nearly one in ten Wyoming residents is a caregiver, and although the experience can often feel isolating, it is important to remember that you are not alone. AARP is committed to supporting you with valuable resources and a sense of community. Our Caregiver Hotline, available at 1-877-333-5885, is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM ET. Additionally, our caregiving-specific webpage at aarp.org/caregiving offers articles and information tailored to various caregiving situations.

Care for Caregivers Series
In addition to our virtual resources, AARP Wyoming offers in-person support through our Care for Caregivers series. Launched three years ago by a dedicated Sheridan volunteer who recognized a need in her community, this series continues in 2025, with events in Cheyenne beginning in May, Sheridan starting in June, and online for the rest of the state later this fall. Understanding the overwhelming nature of gathering essential caregiving information from law offices, financial advisors, and nursing homes, this series aims to bring the information directly to you through weekly, accessible presentations.
The spring series in Cheyenne will begin on May 5th and will cover a wide range of topics, including caregiver health, the continuum of care, legal and financial planning, and accessing veterans' benefits. Each session will begin with a group dinner provided by the Triumph Culinary Program from 5:30–6:15 PM, followed by the presentation from 6:15–7:30 PM, with time for questions. If your care recipient is in attendance and would prefer not to participate in the presentation, we will provide care and activities in an adjoining room, facilitated by a team of volunteers. Additionally, we will have a resource table featuring a variety of Wyoming-based services to help you find the best options for both you and your loved one.
