Can You Help Improve Your Neighborhood? Become an AARP Los Angeles City Advocate
You have the power to make a difference in your community by advocating for the needs of older adults and their families in Los Angeles. The Los Angeles City Advocate (LACA) volunteers serve as AARP’s local points-of-contact with their respective elected officials and advocate on vital issues that matter most to older adults. You do not need special expertise to join the team – AARP will provide formal training to all volunteers.
The LACA team is accepting volunteer applications for those residing in the following Los Angeles City Council Districts: 1, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 12, 13 and 14.
If you are interested in joining the LACA team, complete the volunteer application HERE. An AARP staff member will reach out with the next steps.
Applications close Friday, March 14.
We need volunteers like YOU to help create a Los Angeles for people of all ages and abilities to live, work, play, and age in place. For questions, please email Rachel Zaiden at rzaiden@aarp.org
