CALMA Kicks Off Hispanic Heritage with Latino Bookfair

The Colorado Alliance of Latino Mentors and Authors (CALMA)* will present its second Books&Beer event of 2022 on Saturday, Sept. 17, 2-5 p.m. at Raices Brewing Co, 2060 W. Colfax in Denver.

This year’s theme is La Historia de Latinos en Colorado: Part One and will feature academic, biographical, memoirs and historical fiction, highlighting the Latino footprint in the history of Colorado. Up to 10 members of CALMA will display their work. Participating authors and their books have not yet been named.

Raices also hosted the May event, as well as the inaugural Books&Beer fair in 2021. As with last year’s bookfair, the 2022 September event will kick off Hispanic Heritage Month.
