November marks both National Alzheimer’s Disease Awareness Month and National Family Caregivers Month. We honor the extraordinary courage, strength, and resilience of people facing this devastating disease and those caregiving heroes, the families and friends who stand by their loved one’s side and help them age with dignity. Caregiving can be stressful and take a large physical and emotional toll, and maintaining habits of deep and restful sleep is essential to help recharge and rejuvenate the body and mind. This workshop offers guidance on breathing, gentle body tapping and abdominal exercise as tools to get a good night's sleep, maintain positive energy and manage stress. When you as a caregiver can integrate self-care techniques, then you will have that much more energy, love and support to share with those who need it.
