The holidays are here, and so are scammers looking to exploit the generosity many people feel this time of year.
AARP Wisconsin urges members to be on the lookout for all types of scams, such as criminals who pose as representatives of legitimate charities. They are also looking to prey on shoppers who buy gift cards from open racks at stores and those who rely on home delivery for gifts and packages.
AARP has teams of volunteer fraud fighters trained to give fraud prevention presentations to groups in person and virtually. Learn about the latest schemes or how to report a suspected scam at aarp.org/fraud.
