Become an AARP Connecticut Volunteer

Posted on 04/30/21 by The AARP Bulletin

Whether it’s behind the scenes or in the community, AARP Connecticut offers a variety of ways to get involved, in person or virtually.

Volunteer advocates work on legislative issues that affect older adults, such as caregiving, financial security, independent living, health care, utilities and prescription drug prices.

Other volunteer options include sharing valuable resources and information on topics like fraud prevention and healthy living, and helping older adults in their job search or transition to a new career.

While the way people volunteer has changed due to the pandemic, their impact remains significant. Volunteering with AARP is possible for people of all ages, not just for members. Training is provided.
