Avoiding Fraud After Hurricane Ida
As we recover from Hurricane Ida, it is important to steers clear of lurking scam artists. We urge you to only do business with licensed contractors and be careful who you sign your coverage rights away to. Also, fake charities pop up quickly in the aftermath of a natural disaster. Do your research before you donate. Visit www.give.org or www.charitynavigator before giving any money. If you suspect fraud after Hurricane Ida, contact the Louisiana Attorney General's Office at (225) 326-6465.
