AARP Mississippi will present a virtual event about “Aging and Mental Health” at 11 a.m. on May 11, 2022. Even before the pandemic, many older people felt the impact of social isolation. Many of us have learned that we all struggle during challenging times. This event is being offered in observance of Mental Health Awareness Month.
The speaker, Deloris McGee, is a volunteer and trainer with the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI). “It will be a wholistic presentation to bring awareness to what it’s like to age,” McGee said.
