AARP to Host Special Event to Honor Vietnam Vets

On Thursday, September 19th, Fort Campbell Army Base will open its gates to the public to give Vietnam Veterans a proper welcome home. Come out and join AARP, Ft. Campbell officers, local officials and Visit Clarksville as we honor and pay respect to a special group of veterans who served our country in Vietnam.

“This is our chance to offer our Veterans a long overdue welcome home," said Stacy Pennington, AARP Tennessee Associate State Director, Outreach. “If you or a loved one is a Vietnam Veteran, we want to honor you at this special event.”

A military ceremony will be followed by refreshments.
THIS IS A FREE EVENT; no AARP membership required. All attendees must register in advance.
Registration closes Sept. 15.

Hanger 3
(enter base through Visitor Control Center Gate 7; 7199 Glider Rd.)
Clarksville, Tennessee

Please allow up to two hours to access the base and be in place for the 2 p.m. ceremony. Early time arrival is needed to process through security and drive to Hanger three (3) once on Base.

After registering, please be on the look out for further instructions a week prior to event.
