AARP to Host “Sips and Sounds” Night of Jazz Event on November 16

Posted on 10/17/19

In celebration of family caregivers, AARP Virginia presents “Sips and Sounds,” a Night of Jazz event featuring Regina Belle, Marcus Johnson, and Richmond’s own QuintEssential Jazz from 7 to 10 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 16 at Main Street Station in Richmond.

November is Family Caregivers Awareness Month, and AARP Virginia is proud to present Belle, an Academy Award-winning and multiple Grammy-winning singer, songwriter, and actress who has made a career following her heart and moving gracefully between the worlds of R&B, Gospel and Jazz.

AARP Virginia is striving to make it easier for people 50 and older to live independently and remain in their homes and communities where they prefer to be, surrounded by family and friends. By providing planning resources and additional forms of support to family caregivers, AARP hopes to create a country where people can continue to live in their homes and communities for as long as they choose.

To help achieve this, AARP is:

  • Supporting the millions of family caregivers who provide unpaid care to their loved ones with resources and tools.
  • Advocating for and providing better quality, affordable and accessible services to help older people live independently and the family caregivers who help them.

On Nov. 16, doors open at 6:45 p.m. Ticket information is available online at www.tinyurl.com/sipsrva19, or by calling 804.627.6223 or 804.245.1444.
