AARP Texas Statement on COVID-19

Posted on 03/24/20

In response to numerous inquiries about the impact of coronavirus on Texans, AARP Texas issued today (Tuesday, March 24, 2020) the following statement:

“We urge all Texans, and especially vulnerable older people, to follow the CDC’s guidance. It’s clear that coronavirus is spreading rapidly here and has devastating, even deadly, impacts no matter age, gender, party affiliation or any other characteristic. Policymakers must act now to lessen the severity and death toll of this pandemic,” said AARP Texas State Director Tina Tran.
