Stop by the AARP in St. Louis booth at the annual PrideFest, a celebration of the region’s LGBT community to learn how to protect yourself from fraud.
The group’s booth will be one of 160 at the event on Saturday, June 23, and Sunday, June 24, at Soldiers Memorial Park, 1315 Chestnut St.
St. Louis’ PrideFest, which has live entertainment and children’s activities, is one of the largest in the Midwest, with more than 300,000 attendees in 2017.
Visitors at the AARP in St. Louis booth will learn about fraud and be able to register for the Fraud Watch Network, which tracks trends and notifies users of the latest scams.
Attendees can also take part in the Fraud Fighter Bowl-a-Rama; for each pin knocked down, $1 will be donated to a local charity that provides counseling services for victims of fraud.
“We are excited to share information about fraud resources available through AARP in a fun and interactive way,” said Sheila Holm, community outreach director for AARP in St. Louis.
AARP in St. Louis will have a float in the parade June 24 and encourages members, their friends and family to walk with the group or ride on the float. Click here to reserve your spot.
