Highlighting Prescott Valley

AARP Prescott and Prescott Valley Volunteers in Action

Posted on 05/21/21

The AARP Volunteers in Prescott & Prescott Valley penned 670 Spring-themed notecards for local residents living in the Quad City area.  This collection of notecards was provided to the clients receiving services from the Good Samaritan Society.  AARP Volunteers expressed their best wishes, drew pictures of springtime flowers and decorated the notes and envelopes with stickers of flowers and little animals.  The AARP Prescott/Prescott Valley Volunteers express our gratitude to the Good Samaritan staff for accepting the contribution of our handwritten Spring notecards for the folks that they serve.

AARP Volunteers in the Prescott & Prescott Valley communities are often busy with community service projects.  In addition to the recent Spring notecard activity to benefit the people being served by the Good Samaritan organization, we have also written letters of gratitude to local veterans and have provided Valentine-themed notecards to the clients being served by Prescott Meals on Wheels.  Also, many of our Volunteers regularly bake cookies and other homemade goodies which we deliver to all the first responders at the Prescott Fire Department and CAFMA fire stations.

Community service is important to AARP Volunteers across the country, and Prescott/Prescott Valley AARP Volunteers are no exception to this important focus area.  We are grateful to be able to serve our community in a myriad of ways.

Thank you to our AARP Volunteers!
