AARP Pennsylvania Sponsoring TroveStreet “Aging in Place” Tour

AARP knows that the vast majority of older adults want to age in place - continuing to live in their own homes and communities as they grow older. The degree to which older adults can participate in community life will be determined, in part, on how communities are designed and how older adults and their family caregivers are able to learn about and access the services and supports needed to age in place.

To help meet this need in communities throughout York, AARP Pennsylvania is sponsoring TroveStreet’s upcoming Aging in Place Tour. 

TroveStreet is a local online resource for immediate and long-term planning related to aging. It is powered by EmbracingAging, an initiative of the York County Community Foundation.

Beginning on Monday, October 2 and running through Thursday, October 26, a total of eleven, two-hour seminars will be held in community libraries throughout York County.

Each Aging in Place seminar includes:

• Subject matter expert speakers representing a variety of aging-in-place topics who will share their advice, resources, and tips for aging well;
• Strategies to help families navigate difficult conversations with their aging loved ones; and
• Snacks, prizes, and fun will be included!

• Age 50 and older and want to live your best life now and in the future.
• Concerned about the safety and comfort of aging family members.
