Transportation is essential to our daily lives whether it's going to work, the store, doctor's appointments, or visiting friends. Did you know:

  • Nearly 90% of older adults drive to get around, but most will outlive their ability to drive safely?
  • People 65+ are four times more likely to be killed while walking than any other age group?

We need a transportation system that improves safety, expands options, and works for older population and their families. This is why AARP has joined the “Let’s Get Moving 2020” campaign to support Measure 26-218, an investment in the transportation future for the Portland metro region. And we think it’s time to create transportation systems that work for all.

AARP urges a YES vote on Measure 26-218 for voters in Multnomah, Washington and Clackamas Counties.
