Let's Go Bowling to Strike Out Fraud!

Every year, Americans lose billions of their hard-earned dollars to con artists. That’s why AARP launched the Fraud Watch Network, to arm Americans with the tools they need to spot and avoid fraud and scams. Join AARP at Strike Out Fraud and learn what you need to know to protect yourself.

AARP members and one guest will enjoy two free games of bowling (shoes are included.) Additionally, AARP Oregon staff and volunteers will be on hand to answer your questions and provide resources about identifying fraud.

We'll provide you with information to help you Strike Out Fraud in your community. If you can spot a scam, you can stop a scam!

Free pizza and drinks will be provided for all participants. Registration is required and you are able to drop in any time during the event.

Spotting Scams and Staying Safe

Join AARP Oregon, the Division of Financial Regulation and the Oregon Office of the Attorney General for an interactive workshop on fraud prevention. Other speakers include the Federal Trade Commission, Adults & People with Disabilities and the Construction Contractors Board.

Come hear from experts and local law enforcement about how to spot fraud and how to stop fraud. Learn about the latest trends, including the difference between bitcoin and cryptocurrency scams.

It's time to fight back against fraud.
