OK Route 66 Kickstart Tour

AARP Oklahoma joins the Kickstart 66 Tour, which is making stops in communities along Route 66, known as America’s “Mother Road.”

Leading up to the Route 66 centennial in 2026, the Oklahoma Route 66 Centennial Commission members and partners are introducing resources community stakeholders can use to rev up planning and development efforts.

Route 66 tour stops include Miami on April 4, Clinton on May 9, Sapulpa on September 12, and Arcadia on October 3.

According to the Route 77 Centennial Commission, “Each tour stop program will have a heavy emphasis on networking and facilitating conversation among attendees as they consider their community’s goals. Business owners, municipal and county officials, nonprofit organizations, museums, historical societies, artists, convention and visitor bureaus members, chambers of commerce, and other local stakeholders are encouraged to attend.” Learn more about the Kickstart 66 Tour.
