AARP North Dakota Advocacy

Posted on 02/24/25

In 2025, AARP ND and our engaged volunteers are focused on four priorities: Fraud, prescription drug prices, affordable housing and property taxes. In the first half of the session we've had two big wins.

  • HB 1447 will create important consumer protections to save older North Dakotans from having their life savings stolen by criminals via cryptocurrency kiosks. HB 1447 passed in the House on Feb. 17 by a vote of 87-3.
  • HB 1114 would expand the cap on out-of-pocket expenses for insulin and related medical supplies to the private insurance market to $25/month. On Feb. 20 this bill passed in the House by a vote of 59-27.
