AARP New Jersey Clarifies It Does Not Endorse Candidates, or Make Contributions to Political Campaigns or Candidates

Posted on 12/18/19

NEW BRUNSWICK, N.J. AARP New Jersey State Director Stephanie Hunsinger released the following statement today in response to House Majority Forward’s citation of AARP in political advertisements targeting Rep. Andy Kim:

“AARP did not authorize or participate in the production of the advertisement targeting Rep. Andy Kim. AARP has a proud 34-year history of non-partisan voter engagement and does not endorse or oppose candidates, nor does AARP make contributions to political campaigns or candidates. We encourage New Jersey residents to ask questions so they understand where the candidates stand on important issues and make their own decisions on Election Day.”
