Fighting for Nebraskans 50+ and Their Families

AARP Nebraska listens and advocates for what is important to our members and Nebraskans 50 and over. AARP staff and volunteers work to give you a voice at the state and federal level. During the 2024 Nebraska Legislative Session, 597 bills were introduced with 103 prioritized, 200 approved, and 196 signed into law by Governor Jim Pillen. Bills not passed will need to be reintroduced in the 2025 Legislative Session. Highlights of the 60-day, 2024 Session include significant wins for family caregivers, prohibiting deceptive home sale practices, increased insurance benefits and coverage, as well as economic and workforce development initiatives surrounding long-term care.
