Starting this month, out-of-pocket insulin costs are capped at $35 per month and vaccines are free for people with Medicare.

AARP Nebraska is hosting a January 24 teletown hall conversation to discuss these new Medicare provisions and others that will be phased in to lower the high cost of prescription drugs thanks to a federal law passed in 2022.

Guest speakers are Leigh Purvis, Director of Health Care Costs and Access, AARP Public Policy Institute, and Megan O'Reilly, AARP's Vice President of Government Affairs for Health and Family Policy.

The event is Tuesday, January 24 from 1-2 p.m. CT. To join the teletown hall, dial 833-998-1741. Listeners will have an opportunity to ask questions of the guests.
