AARP Michigan Welcomes Ramón Harris as Associate State Director for Community Outreach

AARP Michigan proudly announces the appointment of Ramón Harris as the Associate State Director for Community Outreach. With a deep commitment to serving older adults and a proven track record of leadership, Harris brings invaluable expertise to his new role.

A resident of Southfield, Ramón Harris has dedicated his career to supporting and empowering older adults in his community. As the Director of Transportation at PACE Southeast Michigan, he demonstrated exceptional leadership, overseeing operations spanning nine locations in Southeast Michigan.

"I am honored to join AARP Michigan and contribute to its mission of improving the lives of older Michiganders," said Ramón Harris. "AARP plays a critical role in advocating for older adults, and I am excited to leverage my skills to further engage our community and drive meaningful impact."

Ramón’s background includes leadership roles in both the public and private sectors, with a focus on community engagement and strategic leadership. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Michigan and is currently pursuing a Master of Business Administration and Master of Science in Marketing from Walsh College.


In his new role, Ramón Harris will manage education and outreach programs in Ann Arbor and surrounding communities, focusing on areas such as financial security, fraud prevention, caregiving, and voter engagement. He will work closely with AARP's outstanding team of volunteers to drive innovation and strategic initiatives that address the evolving needs of older Michiganders.
