As the coronavirus pandemic continues to impact the lives of Michiganders, AARP will do our part to prevent the spread of this virus and continue to host quality programming and a variety of in-person and virtual events in 2022. We closely monitor for COVID-19 developments and are taking the precautions recommended by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and local public health agencies.

This entertaining lecture explores Mexico’s fabulous cuisine, including its centuries-long history of chocolate making. Hear the fascinating stories behind the country’s tacos, tortillas, tamales, enchiladas, mole and more.  Mexican food is so admired that in 2010 it was officially deemed by UNESCO as an Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.

Caring for someone with Dementia can be challenging. This workshop focuses on helping people recognize the stress process and learn to interrupt it early in the cycle, before it escalates.
