AARP Maine in Your Community

Posted on 11/12/19

AARP Maine is building community here in the Greater Portland area. Walk, talk, sip, play, learn and laugh at our weekly and monthly events. All are free, and all are welcome.

Portland & South Portland Weekly Walks – Every Wednesday from 8:30-10am. Meet at the Back Cove Trail parking lot during the spring, summer, and fall. During the winter, meet at the South Portland Community Center, located at 21 Nelson Road in South Portland. Bring comfortable shoes and a bottle of water.

Portland Free Coffee Friday – The first Friday of each month from 8:30-10am at the AARP Maine State Office, located at 53 Baxter Boulevard, Suite 202 in Portland. Each month features an informative speaker as well as complimentary refreshments from a local coffee shop.

Portland On-Tap – The third Thursday of each month from 4-6pm at Bruno’s Restaurant and Tavern, located at 33 Allen Avenue in Portland. This social event will have a few general updates about AARP Maine’s work and ways you can become more involved. Your first beer, wine or nonalcoholic beverage is complimentary.

Are you interested in volunteering with us? All of our events are led by volunteers and we are always looking for more! Help set up, sign in, clean up, and provide other general support to make these events a success.
